Artist's Description
This is my first "Black and White" painting which I added some vandyk brown because the stark black and white wouldn't give me the depth I wanted.
This is a painting of my mother at seventeen. I thought she was a beautiful young girl (she would argue with me). The picture I painted this by was a little 1" photograph I looked at often when I was a young child. To my father and I she was the most beautiful woman in the world. I had to paint her.
